Random Thoughts
May 6, 2008 by girlwhoknits
I believe it is that time. Time for another random but itemized list:
- My new favorite cereal: Smart Start Maple Brown Sugar
- About Battlestar Galactica, for those who watch…i got caught up on the current season this weekend. Oh how I love this show–so much. for those who don’t watch…you really should. Trust me. For those who have a unsubstantiated and judge-y prejudice towards all things sci-fi…get over it. Just because something is set in an imaginary world doesn’t mean it is geeky or boring. Seriously, you are missing some quality television.
- Speaking of BSG, if I had to marry a television character right this second it would be him.
- Thanks for all your votes on which Kim Hargreaves kit I should buy. Rosa was the big winner. The kit is ordered and will be waiting for me when I arrive in London.
- Oh, did I mention I leave for London on Friday? Because I do.
- Cherry is done. Seamed. Buttoned. Just sitting on the couch with me waiting to be photographed. I will do my best to bring you a FO post before I take off this weekend. For now though, here is a really bad preview pic taken by my trusty photo booth:

Oh, are you coming to London THIS friday?! I guess that would be AWESOME! See you there.
Wow, Cherry looks beautiful!! And you gotta love Photobooth
Have a fab trip - London is beautifully warm and sunny at the moment (which is quite something given that it was snowing only like 2 weeks ago!). Looking forward to hearing all about it, I always love seeing my city through someone else’s eyes
dear anders,
you dream boat you. kara is stupid. i’m sorry she didn’t appreciate you for the big piece of man that you are. if you were mine, i promise i wouldn’t use you like she did.
forever yours,
meghan
Anders would be tall enough for you
Good choice, although Helo really floats my boat.
I’m a big Sammy fan, too!
This post might be the push I need to load up on BSG DVDs. Just haven’t got there yet but having watched Buffy and Angel all the way through twice, maybe it’s time . . .
Have a fabulous time in London.
Can I fit in your suitcase for London. I promise I won’t take up too much space. I like BSG, but OMH! I am sick of it. Matt and his brothers switched from all of the Star Treks and Stargates to watch BSG now. I think I’ve had too much scifi
When it comes to Battlestar Gallactica, you’ve got a whole buffet of hotties to choose from! I alternate between Lee Adama and Helo. Plus, who doesn’t love Laura Roslin?
Cherry looks good! Have a great trip if we don’t hear from you before Friday!
Enjoy your trip to London! Cherry looks like a great sweater to take along.
Have a great trip, the weather here is gorgeous!
woohoo! have fun in london!
Ooh! Cherry looks fabulous! Have fun in London- I know you will!
Yay, BSG. I’m hoping this season gets less disjointed, though, I must admit.
Cherry looks like a perfect traveling companion. Enjoy your trip, and bring us back action shots?
Nice, Erin. I love that color for you, too.
Enjoy London!
I feel exactly the same about BSG… I’m not a sci fi fan (or even a television fan) most of the time, but I love that show so, so much. And as for marriage? Give me Helo. Starbuck’s hot and everything, but she’s all crazypants and would probably break your heart.
Have a great trip!
Whatever. Go, just go. When you come back, don’t be surprised to see me sitting on your doorstep. Have so much fun!
Cherry is beautifulllllll!!!! Yes to BSG! We love it but aren’t caught up yet on this seasons eps. They are all ready and waiting for us to watch though. Have fun in London with your sister!!
Awesome. I’m knitting Cherry right now as we speak. Give us the FO shoot. now.
Have fun in London. Take pictures and go nuts!
Have a great trip in London!
Erin- I loved reading your blog. So you’re off to Europe and there isn’t a doubt in my mind that you and Kara will make this trip fantastic. Remember who you are and act accordingly ladies (Grandpa wanted me to tell you that).

Cherry looks beautiful!
preach it!
i actually work for the scifi channel (insert geeky smile) so i hear ‘ya!
uhoh! have you left already? without a cherry photo?
it looks wonderful. look forward to seeing it on you!
Very cute sweater! I have been a Smart Start fan for years! Here’s my confession about that, I have to hide it from Uncle Art when I buy a box. It takes me a while to finish a box, so if I want to guarantee that it will be there the next time I want a bowl, I have to keep it away from Uncle Art…he eats cereal literally out of a mixing bowl! I think you must be in London, and so forth right now and no doubt having a glorious time…sounds like an incredible trip. If you get anywhere near Malmo in Sweden, that’s where your great-greats came from. I am so jealous of your itinerary and jealous that you get to do this with your sister. I will look forward to reading about it…include lots of pictures!
Smart Start Maple Brown Sugar, also my new fave… we’re so twins…
