…you can’t even knit. I haven’t been feeling 100% for the last few days and this morning I woke up to what feels and acts like food poisoning but could be something else. It is awful. I don’t like not being at work unless I am doing something fun–it is such a waste. So this is torture.
Anyway, I have so much to share…a finished Glee and a new sweater project. It will have to wait until I have a little more energy.
And maybe it is just sick me talking but in light of the horrific events that transpired list night in Salt Lake City, is anyone else terrified by what destruction one idiot can bring into the lives of innocent people? This mall is 5 minutes from my house. I shop there. It is simply a nightmare. Sometimes people in this world really scare me.

(((((())))))) Sick and sickened – a horrid combination. I guess it’s natural that these things always feel worse when they are close to home.
Hope you’re feeling better soon
You were one of the first people to pop into my mind when I heard the news last night. Thank goodness you are safe (even if you are sick)!
I am so sorry to hear what happened. It defies understanding. My thoughts are with your community.
Hope you are feeling better soon. There seem to be a lot of stomach bugs going around right now.
I look forward to seeing your FOs!!! Yeah for you.
Not so yeah for you with your sickness – hope you feel better soon.
that is terrible news. why do these things happen in such nice places? i don’t understand. my prayers are with you and your community. hope you get better soon.
Hope you feel better soon. All that time to rest and you can’t even knit.
I’m so sorry about what happened. It was on the news here in Seattle too.
It’s just good to hear your “voice.”
So sorry that you are down – both with some crud & the awful news from your neighborhood. Hang in there!
hope you are feeling better really really soon :0)
i was so sad to hear of what happened. it really is tragic. it does just make you wonder what is wrong with the world and the people in it. of course not all people, but way too many. x
Sorry to hear you’re feeling so poorly, feel better soon!
Sorry you’ve got the nasty virus thing! Icky. Wear the new sweater next week!
Sometimes I don’t understand the world.
ugh.. I had that same illness last weekend. I didn’t get up for more than 5 minutes at a time – and definitely there was no knitting. I hope that you are beginning to feel better now.
and I’m totally glad that you were not at that mall. what a tragedy that is. glad you’re safe.
I’m sorry your feeling icky. Both my girls have double ear infections. It’s fun here at our house. You can come on down and be babied with them if you want. We are doing a Cinderella III and Chicken Soup party.
As for the stuff up at Trolley, I have to admit when they said that there were two 28 yo women I had to double check how old I was and then double check how old Kara is. I was sure that you and Kara were at Trolley having a totally posh time that night or something. I’m so glad that you weren’t there. Love you guys!!!
i hadn’t heard this news. it is absolutely awful.
i’m also so sorry to hear that you have been under the weather.
I heard a news item today on NPR about a rash of salmonella cases linked to Peter Pan peanut butter. I have no idea what you have, but it might be worth a peek in the cupboard.
It’s really sad when a tragedy like Trolley Square happens so close to home. A few years ago, a kid at my little brother’s junior high school walked in one morning and shot the principal followed by himself. That was the same school I went to as a kid. I was disciplined by that same principal. Sadly, violence like this happens, and thanks to statistics and population density, things like this will always seem uncomfortably close. It’s a tragedy, yes, but I don’t think we as a people will be judged by the tragedy but by our response to it, which by any measure has been noble and compassionate.
